Levain Bakery
Levain Bakery, the well known West Side bakery, has moved their production into an expansive commercial space in Harlem.
The new space is a major upgrade from their below the stoop tiny kitchen on 74th Street.
The new facility houses commercial grade ovens, walk-in refrigerators and major cooking appliances are all visible from the storefront cafe to create visual interest. A commercial grade dumbwaiter was installed to transport baked goods to the lower level packing area. Offices are located there as well. The aesthetic was no frills, high tech, and super clean. The cafe is a fun place to have a cappuccino and watch the production of the delicious baked goods.
