360 Degrees of Light

This apartment with 360-degree views is situated high above New York’s busy streets. The client wanted a retreat from city life, surrounded by it’s breathtaking views. The apartment had a developer level finish and layout, but the client wanted something unique and refined that would also be comfortable.

The living room focuses the view outward and aims to entertain. The bar features a custom eglomise mural, surrounded by an antiqued bronze frame.

The dining area looks out on to New York’s iconic skyline.

A partner’s desk is accessed through the living area, echoing the material palette in the main spaces.

The guest suite, bathed in a rich emerald tones, complements the bright southern sun.

The primary suite was reconfigured so that the bed could run parallel to the view. The ceiling was raised, and a new wall was put up doubling as both a headboard and additional storage.

The primary bath was completely reconfigured. A circular glass enclosure, echoing the 360-degree views, frames the shower looking out to lower manhattan and the east river.

A column clad in Moroccan Tadelakt houses the shower head and controls. The plaster is smooth to the touch echoing the soft curves of the shower and tile.
